Marco Caputi graduated with honours in Economics and Commerce from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in March 1994.
Immediately after graduation, he collaborated with the University in the development and drafting of a practical accounting manual and began his professional practice in Milan.
After attending (Sept.-Dec. 1994) the 92nd Course for Navy Officers at the Naval Academy in Livorno, he served in the Italian Navy in the corps of Harbour Masters - Coast Guard with the rank of Ensign.
